    In addition, advancements in hydrogen production, which can be derived from natural gas, could further expand the potential of gas in energy systems. Green hydrogen, produced through renewable-powered electrolysis, and blue hydrogen, derived from natural gas with carbon capture, are emerging as viable options for decarbonizing industries that are difficult to electrify.
